what is verde+’s compassionate care program?
Here at Verde+ we prioritize community. One of the biggest ways we give back to our community is through our Compassionate Care Program.
On March 31, 2023, we at Verde+ proudly launched our very own SB-34 Compassionate Care Program. Through this program we have the privilege of providing cannabis products to medical patients in need free of cost.
The reality is that many people are turning to cannabis for medicine but cannot afford to implement a consistent medicinal cannabis routine. Our Compassionate Care Program is open to medical cannabis patients at Verde+ who meet the criteria to receive a care package of donated products to help supplement their medicinal cannabis regimens.
Our Compassionate Care Program is here to provide assistance to patients who truly will benefit from the healing power of cannabis.
What is SB-34?
To summarize, beginning March 1, 2020 Senate Bill 34 allowed cannabis retailers to provide free cannabis or cannabis products to qualified medical patients or their primary caregivers. These donated items are exempt from excise, sales, use, and cultivation taxes.
How can I apply to become a Comp. care member?
If you are interested in our Compassionate Care Program, please email info@verdeplusla.com for more information and to receive an application. Must have a valid medical recommendation or MMIC.
how much product will i receive in a care package if i’m approved?
It will vary monthly depending on donations received for that month. We aim to help supplement your monthly cannabis regimen. Since patients’ tolerance levels and usage vary, the product cannot be guaranteed to last an entire month.
how will i know if i’m approved to be a member?
You will receive an email with details/instructions for your first compassionate care package pick-up!
what are the qualifications to become a member?
You must be a Verde+ member with a valid California doctor’s medical recommendation or California MMIC card. You will still need to get approved based on qualifications on your application.
How often will I receive care packages?
Once per month, starting on the 15th of every month.
